Rental Terms & Conditions
These rental terms regulate the rights and obligations between Buddy Rent a Car Belgrade and the vehicle renter.
Please read the terms carefully before concluding the rental agreement.
1. General rental terms and conditions
By signing the rental agreement (hereinafter referred to as the rental terms), the renter confirms that:
They accept all rental terms and prices as an integral part of the agreement.
They are at least 18 years old and possess a valid driver’s license.
They receive the vehicle in proper condition, with complete equipment and documentation.
They will return the vehicle in the same condition within the period defined in the agreement.
Any extension of the rental period must be announced at least 24 hours before the agreement expires.
In case of a malfunction, they will immediately stop driving and notify the rental company.
The vehicle will be used exclusively for personal purposes.
2. Allowed drivers
- The vehicle may be driven exclusively by the renter.
- Another person may drive the vehicle only if they are listed as an additional driver in the agreement and possess a valid driver’s license.
3. Prohibited use of the vehicle
The vehicle must not be used:
Under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or other intoxicating substances.
For illegal purposes (criminal activities, customs or foreign exchange violations).
For transporting passengers for compensation (taxi services, etc.).
For towing other vehicles or trailers.
In motorsport competitions or racing events.
For transporting flammable, explosive, or materials that may damage the vehicle.
Outside the territory of the Republic of Serbia without written consent from the rental company.
For subleasing or lending the vehicle to third parties.
4. Renter’s obligations
The renter agrees to:
Not overload the vehicle beyond the permitted capacity.
Not make any technical modifications or tamper with any part of the vehicle.
Properly maintain and take care of the vehicle during the rental period.
Pay all traffic fines and parking penalties incurred during the rental period.
5. Damages and traffic accidents
In the event of an accident, the renter is required to:
Record the details of all parties involved and any witnesses.
Not leave the damaged vehicle until the official inspection is completed.
Immediately call the police in case of significant damage or injuries.
Notify the rental company without delay.
If the accident or damage is not reported to the police or the rental company, the renter bears full responsibility regardless of comprehensive (CASCO) insurance coverage.
6. Liability for damages
- In the event of minor or major damage, the renter is responsible for covering the repair costs, unless the vehicle is covered by comprehensive (CASCO) insurance.
- In case of vehicle theft, the renter is required to report the theft to the police immediately.
- If the theft is not reported or negligence is established, the renter is obligated to compensate the full value of the vehicle.
7. Insurance
The rental price does not include additional insurance coverage.
The renter may optionally arrange passenger accident insurance (coverage for disability or death).
8. Jurisdiction
Any disputes shall fall under the jurisdiction of the court in Belgrade.
9. Vehicle equipment
Each vehicle is equipped with the mandatory equipment:
First aid kit
Warning triangle
Safety vest
Tow rope
